These Portlands are part of a small holder's flock in Thrandeston, Suffolk and spend some of their time maintaining a county wildlife site. They are now a non-breeding flock. 
2025 was a good year for these girls, about half of the clip went for roving and 4 ply yarn. 
 
The yarn has a slight sheen, and takes natural dyes well. 
50g is about 210m, 4ply is 24 WPI
 
A cone is around 520g, excluding the weight of the cone. If you'd like a sample please select sample and the sample postage rate (large letter + postcard). Multiple yarn samples can be sent this way if you'd like to see more than one. 
 
You can buy yarn whatever increments you like in 10g increments, just add multiples to the basket, they will be sent in a continuous length up to 100g.
