Yarns in the keyring are dyed with Blackthorn, Purging Buckthorn, Weld and Silver Birch.
Thrums are the ends of the warp that come up behind the heddles when the weave is finished. Rather than waste all the ends they can be remade into chunky yarns, or these fun keyrings.
Mounted on a heavy brass finding.
Handspun yarn by me, from Eigg and Jura the Hebrideans at Nowton Park, Suffolk. These are the remaining yarns from one of my handwoven blanket panels.
