A study of a seal. Carved and finished at the Peter Scott Lighthouse, August '24, on the banks of the Nene where sometimes they are seen.
 
Carved in Hazel, Corylus avellana, heartwood with twirls and swirls of medullary rays. Wood from the ancient coppice stool in the garden of Lavenham Guildhall, Suffolk.
