Saturday 23rd March 10am - 4pm
At Jubilee Hall, Starston, Norfolk, IP20 9NL
An ideal workshop for those looking to have their first forays into hand spinning. You will use be able to use both a traditional drop spindle and a spinning wheel to have a go at spinning your own yarn. Workshop places are limited to 6 people and we'll swap between drop spindles and wheels during the day so everyone gets a good amount of time at each technique.
We’ll be using a range of wool fibres including from a conservation flock in Bury St Edmunds (rare breed Manx Loaghtan and Hebridean) as well as Norfolk Horn, and other fleeces collected from various small East Anglian flocks.
If you have your own wheel or drop spindle do bring it along.
Refreshments and all materials included but do bring a packed lunch. Starston village hall has a full kitchen so you will be able to heat up food if you wish.
