Rustic teaspoon carved in Hazel, Corylus avellana, with wood from Lavenham Guildhall, Suffolk. Iron sulphate is used to react with the tannin present in the wood to create the 'ebonized' darkend effect
Made from ancient coppice in the corner of the Guildhall garden. Originally part of the sculpture 'The Secret Shadow' that was installed in September 2024.
